1. THE GRAUERT CAUSEWAY

My most recent endeavor into photo documentary work had to do with the historic Grauert Causeway built by Emil Grauert in 1915 along the Palisade Cliffs in Weehawken NJ. These now abandoned steps gave people an alternate and picturesque access to the ferry to New York at the bottom of the cliffs from the Boulevard at the top. It has been closed to the public and abandoned since 1959 and in dangerous condition for traversing now. I was given access to photograph this structure from the Mayor, Richard Turner and with the help of Lauren Sherman of The Weehawken Historical Commission. An extended exhibition of prints from this project was held at The Weehawken Library in New Jersey.

2. LAST DAYS OF THE BINGHAMTON FERRY

This is a photo documentary that I did from 2013 -2017 of the historic Binghamton Ferry that ferried people from New Jersey to New York. After the ferry stopped transporting people in 1967 it became a popular restaurant in 1975, with a subsequent sinister backstory having to do with the restaurant owner being kidnapped and murdered by staff members. The ferry was abandoned and left to decay for years until it was dismantled in 2017. I self published a book The Last Days of the Binghamton Ferry 2013-2017 which can be viewed and purchased at Blurb Books.  A printed exhibition of these images was shown at the William V. Musto Cultural Center in Union City, NJ.
